Terms of Service
Effective date: 30 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Presently (operated by Contive Technologies Ltd.) ("Presently", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the Presently Chrome extension and the web service at presently.ai-365.uk (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension, creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Presently
- The Service is for teachers, school staff and schools. You must be at least 18 years old.
- The Service is also for companies, teams, freelancers and other professionals who record Google Meet meetings for business needs. When you sign up, you choose a "Teaching" account (education) or a "Business & others" account.
- Students do not use the Service and must not create accounts.
- If you use Presently for a school or other organisation, you confirm that you have its permission to do so, and these Terms also bind that organisation.
- Before using the Service with students, you (or your school) must accept the Student Privacy & Data Processing Agreement. It forms part of these Terms.
- Before using a Business & others account, you (or your organisation) must accept the Meeting Recording & Data Processing Agreement. It also forms part of these Terms.
2. What the Service does
- Records a Google Meet tab (video, meeting audio and your microphone) and uploads the recording to your own Google Drive.
- Takes attendance by reading participant names and join and leave times, and matches them to emails using your Google Workspace directory, Calendar invite guests, imported Google Classroom rosters (Teaching accounts only) or class lists you add. Attendance sheets are saved to your Google Drive.
- Optionally, creates AI class notes (transcript, summary, homework, activities, quiz and similar) from class audio you choose to send.
- For Business & others accounts, optionally creates AI meeting notes (transcript, meeting summary, decisions, action items, minutes, follow-up email, key points, open questions and risks, and next agenda) from meeting audio you choose to send.
We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we remove a major paid feature, we will tell you in advance.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. Keep your account secure and tell us at support@ai-365.uk if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Your responsibilities when recording and taking attendance
Recording classes and processing student data come with legal duties. You agree that you will:
- only use the Service where you have authority from your school;
- tell students, and parents where appropriate, that classes are recorded and attendance is tracked, and get any consent your local law or school policy requires;
- not record where recording is prohibited by law, school policy or the meeting's rules;
- follow the Student Privacy & Data Processing Agreement and applicable privacy laws;
- keep recordings and attendance sheets in your Google Drive secure and share them only with people who should see them.
If you use a Business & others account, the same duties apply to your meetings: you must have a lawful basis, tell all participants that the meeting is recorded and attendance is tracked, get any consent the law requires, not record minors without proper consent, and follow the Meeting Recording & Data Processing Agreement.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service to record people secretly or for any unlawful, harassing or harmful purpose;
- upload content that is illegal or infringes other people's rights;
- try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the security or limits of the Service;
- resell, share or sublicense your account or access without our written permission;
- use the Service, or its outputs, to build a competing product;
- use the Service to profile, advertise to or sell data about students.
Our Acceptable Use Policy gives more detail and forms part of these Terms. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. AI class notes
- AI features are optional, and you or your school can turn them off.
- When you use them, class audio is sent to trusted third-party AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. You must review it before using or sharing it. You are responsible for how you use it.
- AI minutes are included according to your plan, as a monthly allowance (the Free plan includes a one-time trial). They are subject to fair use: we may limit or pause use that is clearly excessive, automated or unrelated to teaching (or, for Business & others accounts, to your meetings), and we will contact you first where we reasonably can.
7. Plans, payments and renewals
- We offer a Free plan and paid plans billed monthly or yearly. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on our website.
- Payments are processed by our secure payment provider. We never see your full card number. Prices are set in US dollars and charged in Egyptian pounds (EGP) at the exchange rate on the day of payment; the amount is shown before you pay.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We email you a reminder 3 days before each renewal. If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider retries it for a few days; if it still fails, the subscription is paused.
- We issue an invoice for every payment. Only one discount (coupon code or automatic discount) applies to each payment.
- Prices may change. We will tell you before a new price applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Prices may not include taxes, which will be added where required.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in Plan & billing in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
If this is your first purchase of a paid plan, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of payment, as long as you have used no more than a small part (up to 20%) of the AI minutes included for that period. We refund charges made in error, and may refund other payments in full or in part, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Otherwise, payments are not refundable, except where we have failed to provide the Service or where the law gives you a right to a refund. To ask for a refund, use Request a refund in Plan & billing, or email support@ai-365.uk.
9. Your content and data
You own your recordings, attendance sheets, class lists, transcripts and notes ("Your Content"). Recordings and attendance sheets are stored in your Google Drive, not on our servers.
You give us permission to process Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, the Student Privacy & Data Processing Agreement and the Meeting Recording & Data Processing Agreement.
10. Our property
The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms. We welcome feedback and may use it without owing you anything.
11. Google and other third-party services
The Service works with Google Meet, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Classroom and Google Workspace. Your use of those services is governed by Google's own terms. We are not responsible for changes to, or outages of, third-party services, and some features may stop working if Google changes its products or APIs.
Google Meet, Google Classroom, Google Calendar and Google Drive are trademarks of Google LLC. Presently is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Recordings depend on your browser, device, internet connection and Google Drive storage. Always check that important recordings have been saved.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every recording, attendance record or AI note will be complete or accurate. Attendance is based on data from Google Meet and the class lists you provide and should be checked by you.
14. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or reputational harm;
- our total liability to you for any claims about the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in those 12 months, or USD 100 if that is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Indemnity
If you, or your school, use the Service in breach of these Terms or the law (for example, by recording without required notice or consent), you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we suffer as a result of claims by others.
16. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid amount for the unused period). After your account ends, we delete your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell you at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the [Kingdom of Bahrain — confirm]. Disputes will be handled by the courts of that country, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally.
19. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business. These Terms, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Policy, the Student Privacy & Data Processing Agreement and the Meeting Recording & Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
